Dual-Phase Steel

New Achievements of Sarir Sanat Tam in Localizing Level-2 Automation for the Steel Industry

According to a recent report by Isfahan Science and Technology Town, the knowledge-based company Sarir Sanat Tam has successfully designed and implemented a range of advanced technologies for Level-2 automation in the steel and oil industries.

According to this report, Engineer Mohammadreza Rastegari, the company's CEO, stated that the intelligent systems developed by the technical team have been designed to optimize energy and raw material consumption, improve final product quality, and reduce operational costs. These systems have already delivered significant value to the steel industry.

One of the most important executed projects has been the design and development of a digital twin of the cooling table at Saba Steel. This advanced system enables precise control of the cooling process and allows metallurgical engineers to achieve the required temperature gradients, thereby making it possible to produce Dual-Phase (DP) steel sheets
Based on the report by the Isfahan Science and Technology Town, the outcome of this project was the successful production of DP780 steel sheet last winter—a product with high strength and low weight, widely used in the automotive industry and generating significant added value for Saba Steel.

The report also mentions that a similar project is underway for Mobarakeh Steel in the field of color-coated steel sheet production.
In the past, such systems were only available from foreign companies at a much higher cost (nearly ten times), but the indigenous technology developed by Sarir Sanat Tam is now available to domestic industries at a lower cost and fully customized for each application.

At the end of the report, the Isfahan Science and Technology Town emphasizes that the activities of knowledge-based companies located in the town (including Sarir Sanat Tam) play a key role in the development of advanced technologies, the realization of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and increasing productivity in the country's major industries.
