Using The Level 2 Run-Out Table System Designed by Sarir Company to Produce DP780 Dual-Phase Steel

The DP780 dual-phase steel was produced for the first time in the continuous hot strip rolling mill of Saba Steel, joining our country among the few producers of this product in the world. The main use of this type of steel is in the automotive industry.

The production of this product requires precise sheet cooling based on a specific temperature profile. The accurate adjustment of the flow of the run-out table to achieve the desired profile was done using the system designed by Sarir Company.

By accurately modeling the cooling table of Saba Steel's continuous hot rolling zone using analytical modeling and artificial intelligence tools, and implementing control functions in the Level 2 automation platform of this zone, Sarir Company provided metallurgical engineers with the ability to produce sheets with specific grades by cooling sheets with specific temperature profiles, which was previously not possible for operators.
